About Me

Hello, welcome and thank you for your interest in my K'oZ. My name is David. I am the owner and creator of Artful K'oZ. I want to take a moment to give you a bit of information about myself and my business. Artful K'oz (pronounced chaos) began as a simple thought when I was younger and would sit on the floor and draw box shaped cars and trees. At the age of 7, my mother told me that she wanted me to change the world and she made the decision to support me in everything I did. Within a few years, I transitioned from drawing basic block cars to drawing and painting animals and landscapes and drawing all over my skin with markers because I gained an interest in tattoos. At the age of 15, my mother purchased me my first tattoo machine on Amazon and it was all over from there. From 15 to 17, I practiced and practiced and realized that I wanted to be a tattoo artist when I grew up. At the age of 17, Artful K'oZ was born. I began doing small tattoos on my friends and family and got better and better to the point where people started to call me with requests for tattoos. After high school, I went full blown into developing my business and showing my mother how her support paid off. From then until now, over 15 years later, I have been built my brand and have gotten better and better as time progressed. I even learned how to sew and alter garments thanks to my grandmother who taught me all of the basics and showed me that being different is the best thing to be. Though my mother is no longer with me today, I know she is smiling down at me and saying "That's my son!!! Look at what he did y'all". My mother has always been and always will be not only my biggest support system but also my greatest inspiration. I will continue to improve and expand upon my skills, making everyone who encounters my art smile and admire and I will continue to make my mother proud.
